Delhi Govt to Support Year-Long Celebrations of Emperor Kharavela’s 2200th Birth Anniversary: CM Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, July 27 | Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced full government support for the year-long celebrations of Emperor Kharavela’s 2200th Birth Anniversary during the Mangal Kalash Sthapana Ceremony in New Delhi, attended by Jain religious leaders, public representatives, and community members.

The Emperor Kharavela 2200th Birth Anniversary is being celebrated with a series of cultural, religious, and historical events aimed at highlighting the legacy of the great Jain ruler and his contribution to India’s rich heritage.

Emperor Kharavela’s 2200th Birth Anniversary Celebrations Begin in Delhi

The announcement was made during the Mangal Kalash Sthapana Ceremony and the commencement of the 2200th birth anniversary celebrations of Emperor Kharavela, organized by Shri Digambar Jain Samaj and Ekal Mahila Samaj, Krishna Nagar, at Devasya City Center, Karkardooma.

During the Emperor Kharavela’s 2200th Birth Anniversary celebrations, religious leaders emphasized the importance of preserving Emperor Kharavela’s ideals of peace, governance, and cultural development for future generations.

Addressing the gathering, Rekha Gupta said that her journey to her current position has been possible due to the blessings of religious leaders, saints, and scholars of the Jain community. She assured that the government would actively contribute to all events planned throughout the year to commemorate the great emperor.
On this occasion, a feature film based on Emperor Kharavela was also showcased.

Delivering his discourse, Acharya Prag Sagar Muni highlighted the significance of the Mangal Kalash Sthapana ceremony and stated that it marks the beginning of the “Kharavela Mahagaurav Varshayog” celebrations. He described Emperor Kharavela as a historic and revered personality, adding that programs to celebrate his 2200th birth anniversary will be organized across Delhi and the entire country.

The Emperor Kharavela’s 2200th Birth Anniversary celebrations will continue throughout the year with the support of the Delhi Government, bringing together scholars, devotees, and community members to honor one of India’s most respected historical rulers.

During the event, community leaders including Satish Chandra Jain (President), Pramod Jain (General Secretary), Priyanshu Jain, and Tinu Jain felicitated the Chief Minister. They also congratulated her for appointing Nirmal Jain as Chairman of the Delhi Minority Commission and presented her with a memento.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders, including Member of Parliament Lalit Gandhi, MLAs Anil Goyal, Sanjay Goyal, and Arvinder Singh Lovely, along with many other dignitaries and religious figures.
